Enough for today

A Sunday reflection on noticing the grace already at our table.

Last Sunday we talked about how quickly a full week can persuade us that we do not have enough. Enough time, enough energy, enough certainty about what comes next. The invitation of faith is not to pretend those pressures disappear. It is to notice the grace already meeting us in the middle of them.

At the parish table, that grace often looks ordinary. Someone pours another cup of coffee. A neighbor asks a second question and waits for the answer. A volunteer packs the pantry bags before heading to work. None of these moments makes the headlines, but each one tells the truth about a community held together by love.

This week, try a small practice of attention. Before you begin the next task, name one thing you have received without earning it. A friendship, a meal, a place to rest, a patient word. Let gratitude make a little room around the worry.

We are learning that enough is not always a number we can reach. Sometimes it is the confidence that we do not face the day alone. That confidence grows when we let other people help us and when we offer the help we actually have.

Join us on Sunday at 10 AM as we continue the conversation. You can bring your questions, sit quietly, or stay for coffee afterward. There is room to begin where you are, and there are people here who will be glad to meet you.

Bring this reflection into a conversation at home or over coffee. Ask where you have noticed care this week, and where you might offer some. There is no need for a perfect answer. A shared question can become a good beginning when we give each other time to think.
